Two courses are being offered at present:

1. PG Diploma in Music Therapy – for graduates and degree-holders in any discipline, but with rich musical background and singing /playing experience and

2. Certification in Music Therapy –  for others (under-graduates etc) and musicians with or without degrees but with good English comprehension.

*Please note that all theoretical inputs in both these cases are one and the same. However, for the PG Diploma course, one needs to do some extra projects based on field work and also some work experience as an intern.

Over 600 students from India and abroad during the past 16 years have successfully undertaken these courses.

Work stations for music therapists: 
Hospitals – pre/post operative  wards, hospices, rehabilitation centres, cancer hospitals, old age homes, facilities for autistic and special childrens, yoga camps and centres, luxury liners, resorts, spas, gyms, sports complexes, prisons, speech therapy centres, special schools and the like.

About the Nine-Month Distance Learning Certification Programme​

The Centre invites applications from students, scholars and professionals of all genres of music, medicine, psychology, alternative systems of medicine and other Para-medical professionals, and practicing music healers to join this programme to sensitize, sharpen and fine-tune their understanding of therapeutic sounds and music. One can join this Nine Month Certification Programme ANYTIME OF THE YEAR – as there is no last date for admission. 

Graduates or Under-graduates in any branch of Arts, Commerce or Science AND with proficiency or training in any genre of music.

Sound, Silence, Noise, Acoustics and Music – Classical and Popular Musical Genres – Music around the World – the ABC of Music- Music & It’s Therapeutic Ingredients- Physics of Sound, Psychoacoustics, Psychology of Music , Music Therapy, Ancient Indian systems of Nada Yoga & Raga Chikitsa, the Two eyes of Indian Music Therapy – Music and the Brain – Music as Complementary Medicine – Modern Music Therapy : Education & Research- Analgesic, Clinical, Geriatric, Neurological, Psychological, Pediatric, and Rehabilitation aspects of Modern Music Therapy – Music therapy in Various Mental Afflictions and Disorders – Music Therapy and its Daily needs for all and sundry – Methods in Music Therapy- Mozart Effect – Indian Ragas in Music Therapy- Recent Developments etc.

World Class training materials consisting of lessons, supplementary reading materials and practical assignments – all copyrighted – will be provided in nine parts. Those who wish to complete this Course successfully will find all the materials supplied by email quite adequate.

The course will commence from the date on which the candidate is registered after written approval of his/her candidature from the Centre.

To be completed within Nine months from the date of joining.
